Hello, my name is Andrew Wilmot. I live in Herefordshire. That's me with my kids last autumn.

I had a mid-life crisis a few years ago when I got divorced. I re-evaluated everything - fatherhood, the lifestyle and career of a civil engineer, living in England, living in the country, my self-identity, values and goals. My map of the world is based on an overseas childhood and 10 years working flat out and very successfully in Hong Kong for a single employer on large engineering projects. I wasn't lacking career opportunities nor earnings, but I was going to lack the lifestyle I wanted if I carried on doing the same thing. I did not want to work away from my loved ones or be tied down to work. I wanted a portable pension and the means to support a sustainable international lifestyle - and that's when I found this business. The business provides me with residual income and the means to a lifestyle that I want working with people whose values align with mine. I now have peace of mind and, in time, the freedom to make choices on where I live, what I do and when I do it.
